This information is for customers who requested to switch an account to us between 13 September 2021 to 2 December 2021 as part of the £130 cashback offer.  

To be eligible for the offer, you’ll need to do the following within 60 days of telling us to switch your account. 

  • Have successfully completed the switch, which includes closing the account not held with us.
  • Set up at least 2 active Direct Debits.
  • Pay in £1,000.
  • Log on to Online or Mobile Banking.

When will I get my cashback payment?

We'll check if you're eligible for the cashback offer 60 days after you first told us to switch your account. We'll then pay £130 cashback into your qualifying account within the next 30 days. So in total, it may take between 60 to 90 days to get your payment, as long as you've met the eligibility criteria. 

If we’re no longer offering the cashback offer but you applied when it was available and you’re waiting for your switch to complete, you'll still be eligible for the cashback as long as you meet the eligibility criteria. 

I have a joint account, will we both get the deal? 

If the qualifying account is held in joint names and you're eligible for the cashback payment, we'll make one payment only and not two separate payments for both account holders. 

I haven't got my cashback after 90 days 

If you think you've met eligibility criteria and haven't received your £130 cashback after 90 days, you can contact us in Online or Mobile Banking. 

For Mobile Banking:

  • log on to our mobile app 
  • tap 'More' in the bottom-right corner 
  • choose 'Help and contact us'
  • tap 'Need help? Chat with Sandi 24/7' and a new chat will pop up 
  • type 'I didn't get my cashback'
  • you'll be asked to leave a message for one of our colleagues to check
  • let us know what you were expecting cashback for and which account you expected it to be paid into.

For Online Banking:

  • log on to your account 
  • click on the 'Chat with us' tab on the right-hand side of the screen
  • type 'I didn't get my cashback' 
  • you'll be asked to leave a message for one of our colleagues to check
  • let us know what you were expecting cashback for and which account you expected it to be paid into.

Available to clients with investments or savings of over £500,000, or a gross annual income in excess of £250,000. 

To be eligible for a Private Current Account you need to pay a £4 monthly fee to maintain the account, pay in at least £500 a month and set up a minimum of two active Direct Debits. Any interest and payments into the Private Current Account from any Santander personal accounts you are named on, are not included in the monthly funding amount. You may only hold a maximum of two accounts across the Private Current Account and 1I2I3 Current Account. One in your name and one in joint names. You must be 18 or over and a UK resident. Full details of our fees and interest rates can be found in the Key Facts document. Credit is subject to status, available to UK residents aged 18 years or over, have a gross annual income of £7,500 or more, have a good credit record and have not been declared bankrupt, had a CCJ or an IVA within the last 6 years. You must agree to a credit check as part of the application and this will determine whether or not you're accepted and the credit limit that we can offer. We reserve the right to refuse any application. Cashback will not be earned on cash transactions, such as the purchase of foreign currency and cash withdrawals, or on balance transfers.
