Between 24 January and 13 March 2022, we offered £140 cashback when you switch a current account you hold elsewhere to one of our selected current accounts using the Current Account Switch Service. 

To be eligible for the offer, within 60 days of telling us to switch your account, you’ll need to: 

  • have successfully completed the switch, which includes closing the account not held with us
  • set up at least 2 active Direct Debits
  • pay in £1,000, and 
  • log on to Online or Mobile Banking.  

To be eligible for £140 cashback, you and everyone named on the account in question mustn't have already used a switcher offer on any of our accounts. This includes cahoot and Cater Allen accounts, which are part of Santander UK plc.

When will I get my cashback payment?

60 days after you told us to switch your account, we’ll check to make sure you are eligible and then pay £140 cashback into your qualifying account within the next 30 days. So you can expect payment around 90 days after you tell us to switch your account, as long as you’ve met the eligibility criteria.  

If the qualifying account is held in joint names and you’re eligible for the cashback payment, then we’ll make one payment only (you won’t get one payment each). 

If you asked to switch during the offer and we then withdraw the offer before your switch completes, you’ll still be eligible for the cashback as long as you meet the eligibility criteria.

This offer applies to requests to switch that we received between 24 January and 13 March 2022. 

Available to clients with investments or savings of over £500,000, or a gross annual income in excess of £250,000. 

To be eligible for a Private Current Account you need to pay a £4 monthly fee to maintain the account, pay in at least £500 a month and set up a minimum of two active Direct Debits. Any interest and payments into the Private Current Account from any Santander personal accounts you are named on, are not included in the monthly funding amount. You may only hold a maximum of two accounts across the Private Current Account and 1I2I3 Current Account. To be eligible for the Santander Private eSaver, you must be a Santander Private Banking customer at the time of opening (for joint accounts at least one person must be a Santander Private Banking customer). Credit is subject to status, available to UK residents aged 18 years or over, have a gross annual income of £7,500 or more, have a good credit record and have not been declared bankrupt, had a CCJ or an IVA within the last 6 years. You must agree to a credit check as part of the application and this will determine whether or not you're accepted and the credit limit that we can offer.
